Obturator hernia is rare type of hernia occurring due to herniation of nerves and muscles extruding from obturator foramen. It is usually seen at old age. It is more common in multiparous women. Intestinal obstruction may often develop due to the anatomic position of the hernia. Obturator hernia is important since it causes high mortality and morbidity due to rare occurrence and late diagnosis
